Did I answer properly to the request?
The visitors will be informed and their chat box will automatically be closed after 5 seconds. Visitors can also close the chat box themselves. You will receive a notification when it happens.
You may have already experienced it yourself: it can be difficult to end a conversation. It can be tricky to predict if a visitor has further questions or not! A little tip: if you want to end a conversation ask the visitor "Do you have any further questions?”. With this question, you do not only show that you care about their questions and concerns, but you can also be certain whether the conversation is over or not.
If you do not want to receive further chats because you want to talk to the other experts in the livefeed; or because you are not available, do not forget to switch your availability status to OFF.
The visitor closes the chat or leave the website
You'll be notified when a visitor closes the chat or leaves the website but you may ask yourself if you should send a last message or not.
First case, you receive the message : "The visitor has closed the chat window". This means that the visitor clicked on the . However, the window will reopen if you keep on sending messages.
Second case, you receive the message : "The visitor just left the site!". This means that the visitor either closed the page of the website or has connection issues. The visitor won't receive the messages that you send.
In this case, the visitor's connection status will also switch to Offline :
In both cases, we recommend you to send a last message after 2 minutes to be sure that the visitor is aware that you are closing the chat.
